An all around awesome night! The Roller Derby team I sub for for won! And I picked up Trace! it was a very long night but we made it home to a very excited Toby. Lots of love and playing. Toby is getting used to having a new little guy around pretty quick, maybe playing a little too rough sometimes but easily redirected. Trace fits right in with the family. He already met the neighbors pup Spike and soon he’ll meet Spikes’ brother Mosley.

Tomorrow after a Roller Derby bout I am in I will be picking up Trace. This week couldn’t go by fast enough! I dislike that very much when you’re anticipating something and the week goes by really slow. We’re mostly ready for the new pup just have to purchase a few small things. Today I got my Tripawds Bandana in the mail just in time for the new puppy tomorrow. I’ll be posting pictures of him Sunday. While we’re waiting for the pictures of Trace here’s of few of my Tobes!

The Beginning

My name is Samantha and I will soon be the proud Momma of a Tripawd. I’m very excited, nervous and anxious. The puppy we ( John and I) are adopting is around 8 weeks old. He had his right back leg amputated this past Monday. Apparently the guy who was giving away puppies out of the back of his truck down in Iowa accidentally ran his leg over, idiot. So as  soon as I saw the post on RobDars Hound Rescue facebook page I had  to have her/him. Initially the couple that rescued him thought he was actually a she, they weren’t concerned with what was between the legs seeing as the puppy was injured. I wouldn’t have been either if I were them and just came across free puppies. They rescued all the puppies that day, and I am grateful that there are people out there like them.

So next week I will be picking my little guy up, who we’ve dubbed Trace, tres=3=trace. Our other dog, a Black Lab mix, is Toby. We kinda have a country theme going here, Trace Atkins and Toby Keith. Toby is a year and a half and full of energy and spunk. I just have that feeling that they will be just fine together and be best friends, adopting another dog as a puppy is helpful to the situation.

More posts to come!
